why do we have school today? Isn't it weird?

Shioriko
Geez, I was wondering what's going on when you called me so suddenly,
Chika-san.... We have school today because it's a weekday. It's not weird.

Chika
But tomorrow is also a holiday, you know? Isn't it better to make today a
holiday too?

Shioriko
Well, I can understand why people would be happier with a longer holiday.

Chika
Because you know, I haven't finished that thing yet....

Shioriko
....By that thing, do you mean your homework....?

Chika
I did half of it, okay! I've been doing it properly! But there's the other half
left, so I was just thinking it would be great if today is a holiday too.

Shioriko
Chika-san.... Would you be able to finish the remaining half with just
tomorrow and the day after left? You still have half, you know?
